Kathryn McNutt

Kathryn Louise McNutt, 101, of Cabot, formerly of Butler and Rimersburg, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021.

She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in South Bethlehem, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Earl A. and Elsie J. (Behan) Bish.

She was a graduate of Union Joint High School of Rimersburg and the Butler Business College of Butler.

She was a secretary for Heeter Lumber Co. and for the Social Security Administration.

Kathryn was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church of Butler, where she also belonged to the Willing Workers and the AARP.

Kathryn and her husband enjoyed camping, having belonged to the Butler County Travel Club (BUCO). She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, canning, sewing and crafting.

Surviving are a son, William E. (Linda) McNutt; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jason and Karen; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Q. McNutt, whom she married June 28, 1957, and who died Nov. 19, 1993; two sisters, Joy E. Breidling and Nancy Hillis Johnson; and a nephew, Robert G. Hillis.

MCNUTT — Friends of Kathryn Louise McNutt, who died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with her pastor, Leigh Benish officiating.

Private interment will be held in Sligo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Kathryn to the charity of the donor’s choice.
