Veronica M. Faldowski
Veronica M. Faldowski, 90, of Lower Burrell, died Wednesday at her home.
She was born in Freeport on Feb. 25, 1926, to the late Joseph and Antoinnette Fedak Woitas and has been a resident of Lower Burrell since 1974, having previously resided in New Kensington.
Faldowski was a member of the former Polish National Catholic Church and was a former member of the Polish Falcons. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and especially polka music and dancing with her traveling Kazoo Polka Gang.
She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Wiedl of St. Louis, Miss., Beverly Traum of Woodstock, N.Y., and Cynthia (Patrick) Brown of Butler; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Wanda Clay of Baltimore, Md., and Jane Misutka of Cheswick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Zolnierczyk; her second husband, John P. Faldowski; her daughter, Janet Zolnierczyk; her two sisters, Josephine Kubiac and Blanche Listek and two brothers, Ted and Edmund Woitas.
FALDOWSKI — Friends of Veronica M. Faldowski, who died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with Father Bruce Sleczkowski officiating.
