38 guns stolen from home
FORWARD TWP — More than three dozen guns were reported stolen Monday in a daylight break-in at a home on Needle Point Road in the township, authorities said.
State police said three suspects in a white sport utility vehicle burglarized the home about 8:30 a.m. A safe containing 38 guns was taken from a detached garage belonging to the victim, a 49-year-old man.
The firearms included both handguns and long guns, said police Cpl. Tim Morando.
Investigators have identified at least one of the suspects, a 23-year-old Evans City area man. They did not release his name.
Morando said police believe the suspects targeted the home, knowing the guns were there. The investigation, he noted, continues.
