JACKSON TWP — Emergency responders are shutting down Route 19 in both directions in the area of Harmony Castings, as firefighters respond to a reported fire in the building's ventilation system.

The fire was reported at about 12:15 p.m. Thursday, according to online emergency dispatch records. Firefighters arriving on-scene report smoke coming from the building and a fire in the ventilation system of the building. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.

The company is located at 251 Perry Highway. Emergency responders began shutting down Route 19 in both directions to allow firefighters to access nearby fire hydrants and lay hoses across the road.
