Audrey C. (Esselmeyer Youkers) Badger
Audrey C. (Esselmeyer Youkers) Badger, 86, of York, Pa., formerly of Portersville, died Oct. 9 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in York.
She was the wife of the late James Paul Youkers, who died Sept. 21, 1971; and the late Robert J. Badger, who died Dec. 14, 2016.
Audrey was born March 8, 1932, in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late George and Christina (Frank) Esselmeyer.
Audrey was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Zelienople.
She was a secretary for many years with Billco Manufacturing in Zelienople.
She was involved with the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, was the first Seneca Valley High School Band Booster president and served in that organization until her last child graduated from the program in 1977.
Audrey and her late husband, Bob, were also involved with the Butler County Fair and served in various capacities throughout their many years together.
Audrey is survived by her children, Teresa (Terri) Youkers-Hughes and her husband, Kevin, of Punta Gorda, Fla., James A. Youkers and his wife, Marla, of Baltimore, Md., Debra A. (Youkers) Schott and her husband, Ted, of East Berlin, Pa., K. JoNell Badger-Yard and her husband, Douglas, of Harrisville, R. Douglas Badger and his wife, Ginger, of Long Beach, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Angela Youkers, Steven Hughes (Elia Mandujano Hughes), Daniel Hughes, Peter Hughes (Rachel Edelson, fiancée), Kaytlin Schott, Zane Schott, Holly (Jeff) Badger-Madrid, Nate Badger, Marybeth (Tim) Yard-Miller, and Cheston (MaryJane) Yard; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Badger; a granddaughter, Bethany Youkers; and a grandson, Ian Schott.
BADGER — Following cremation, a memorial service for Audrey C. (Esselmeyer Youkers) Badger, who died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at the English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev.
