Zeno T. McElhinny
Zeno T. McElhinny, 82, of Evans City passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021.
Born Dec. 21, 1938, in Forward Township, he was the son of the late Paul J. McElhinny and Elizabeth Hutchinson McElhinny.
Zeno was a member of the former Catholic parish, St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.Farming was Zeno's life, and working and repairs were his hobbies.He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.Zeno leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years, Rebecca E. “Becky” Deener McElhinny, whom he married on June 21, 1994; his sons, Eric McElhinny and Scott McElhinny, both of Evans City; his sisters, Elizabeth “Betsy” Darling of New York, and Patrice (William) Hughes of Delaware; his brother, Jerome (Marilynn) McElhinny of Evans City; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Zeno was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul R. “Spike,” Samuel, Ronald, Daniel and John McElhinny; and his sisters, Isabelle McElhinny, Nancy Bogan and Zeruiah Moore.MCELHINNY — Friends of Zeno T. McElhinny, who died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople.Zeno will be laid to rest at Brownsdale Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made in Zeno's honor to the Evans City VFD, 124 N.
