SAXONBURG — The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) Saxonburg District Woman's Club will sponsor a program on scams beginning at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St.

Pennsylvania State Trooper James Long will talk about how to spot and handle a scam.

Some of the scams he will be discussing in detail are telephone scams, emergency scams, charity scams, banking scams and plus a few less-common ones.

Reservations are not required, and masks are not mandatory, but up to the participant.
