Thomas Robert Lydon
Thomas Robert Lydon, 78, of Irvine, died Dec. 10 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie.
Thomas was born Sept. 1, 1938, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Thomas and Marie Tamburriello Lydon.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1962. He worked in Pittsburgh for IBM as a computer programmer, from which he retired in 1990 and moved to his camp in Warren where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He loved spending time with his friends and family, and especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Tidioute Vets Club and the NRA.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Lydon, of Erie; three children, Thomas R. Lydon Jr., of Florida, Donna McKissick of Butler, and Debbie Lydon Oakman, and her husband, Gary, of Girard, Ohio; six grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Hayes of Newbern, Tenn., and Gary Hayes of Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret “Peg” Lydon; his granddaughter, Samantha Lydon; and three brothers, James Lydon, Robert Hayes and Dallas Hayes Sr.
LYDON — A memorial service for Thomas Robert Lydon, who died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Eric Park, pastor, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting woundedwarriorproject.org.
