Karl F. Koebler

Karl F. Koebler, 93, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Feb. 2, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late George and Margaret Bunnemann Koebler.

Karl was employed as a ute driver and retired from Duquesne Slag, now known as Lafarge-Duquesne Slag.

He was a member at Plains Presbyterian Church in Cranberry Township. He was a member at the Cranberry Lions, Elks and Moose clubs. He enjoyed camping and traveling all over the United States.

Above all, Karl enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his sons, Karl T. “Tom” (Donna) Koebler of Plum Borough and David (Debora) Koebler of Boyers; his stepsons, Bruce (Cheri) Tweedy of Eugene, Ore. and Mark (Gale) Tweedy of Valencia; his grandchildren, Ken Koebler, Kimberly (Chuck) Marcus, Jill (Tim) Hauenstein and Michael (Emily) Koebler; his stepgrandchildren, Michael (Katy) Tweedy and Cheri Tweedy; his great-grandchildren, Connor and Cameryn Santez; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kristy (Chris) and Brian (Heather); his stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and his nephew, Alan L. Emerson.

In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Joy Koebler, who passed away on Feb. 10, 2018; his first wife, Helen; and his sister, Minnie Kathryn Emerson.

KOEBLER — Friends of Karl F. Koebler, who died Monday, March 1, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Derek Marotta officiating.

Karl will be laid to rest next to his wife, Helen, at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.
