Martha Mae Geibel

Martha Mae Geibel, 92, of Butler passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 17, 1929, in Fenelton, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Edna (Miller) Fennell.

She worked at the Spade Shirt Factory for three years. She then went to work at Bobbie Brooks Garments for 13 years.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul church.

Martha was an avid bow hunter. She enjoyed bowling and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and she was a member of the Alamo Squares square dancing team. Most of all, she enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Sally Ann (Richard) Walker; two sons, Thomas E. (Pamela) Geibel and Ronald J. (Connie) Geibel, all of Butler; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandsons; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Geibel, whom she married Feb. 27, 1947; her grandson; three brothers; and four sisters.

GEIBEL — Friends of Martha Mae Geibel, who died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.

Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
