Cross Walk
Easter services were held throughout the community over the weekend. Barry Osche carries the cross during a Good Friday walk including the Stations of the Cross — a Catholic devotion that commemorates the day of Christ's Crucifixion. George Schawl carries the cross. The 14 devotions, or stations, are commonly used as a mini pilgrimage as the individual moves from station to station. At each one, the individual recalls and meditates on a specific event from Jesus' last day. Specific prayers are recited, then the individual moves to the next station until all are complete. The Butler walk began at St. Peter Cemetery and concluded at the church on Franklin Street.
