Edward H. Walker

Edward H. Walker, 90, of Saxonburg passed away Tuesday.

He was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Butler County to the late Edward Walker and the late Grace Campbell Walker Riddle.

Edward was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific Theater. He was a member of the American Legion Post 683 in Saxonburg. Edward worked as a barber, a circulation manager at the Butler Eagle, maintenance director at St. John's Specialty Hospital and Blue Bird Bus Co.

Edward enjoyed gardening, fishing, preparing for auctions, John Deere, rodeos, quarter horses and playing the slots.

Edward is survived by his wife, Gloria, whom he married March 10, 1978; one son, Tom Walker of McClure, Pa.; four daughters, Charlene Krumpe and her husband, Ed, of Moscow, Idaho, Debbie Ewing and her husband, Mel, of Lincoln, Calif., JoAnn Isherwood and her husband, Ray, of Valencia, and Karen Leary and her husband, Jim, of Butler; eight grandchildren, Blaine Krumpe, Jessie Berner and her husband, Kevin, Tara Reeder and her husband, Matt, Addison Ewing, Brian Isherwood, David Isherwood, Shelley Isherwood and John Paul Fleming; four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Caleb, Graci and Rebecka; one brother, Chester Walker, and his wife, Billie, of Penrose, Colo.; three sisters, Gerry Osche of Butler, Genny Krebs and her husband, Dick, of Zanesville, Ohio, and Barb Vargo and her husband, Steve, of Butler; one brother-in-law, Joe Pullano; many nieces and nephews; Robert Nagy and his family; and Diane Ramirez and her family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Pullano; one nephew, Jim Osche; and one brother-in-law, Carl Osche.

WALKER — Friends of Edward H. Walker, who died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.
