Getting Back in the Classroom: Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District

District: Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District

Superintendent: David McDeavitt

Education plan: The district is letting parents chose the type of instruction their children will receive. The options are traditional face-to-face instruction in school, distance learning using packets of class work distributed by the district or Chromebooks or the A-C Valley Cyber Program

Elementary School: Kindergarten, 51 students: first, 50; second, 46; third, 49; fourth, 48, fifth, 42; sixth, 62

Junior/senior high school: Seventh, 41 students; eighth, 52; ninth, 38; 10th, 44; 11th, 45; 12th, 46

Vo-tech usage: 46 students at Clarion County Career Center

AP classes: 21 students

Bus company: Six different bus companies

Breakfast: Full price, $1.10; reduced price, 30 cents; milk, 50 cents. Same as last year

Lunch: Full price, $2.45; reduced price 40 cents. Same as last year

Activity fees: None

Student parking fee: $5

Program changes: Parents can chose from face-to-face learning, distance learning or the A-C-Valley Cyber Program

Technology update: All students will have Chromebooks

Major personnel changes: Two additional custodians will be hired to help clean and disinfect schools
