Mary L. Oberlin

Mary L. Oberlin, of Grove City, passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Grove Manor Nursing Home. She was 92.

Mary was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Hillsdale, Mich., to Everett and Theresa Flannery.

She married Roger L. Oberlin on Sept. 4, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2020.

Mary retired from George Junior Republic in Grove City, where she worked in the infirmary. Formerly, she worked for the Borough of Grove City, and was a secretary for Bucknell University.

Mary is survived by two sons, Charles Oberlin and his wife, Kathleen, of Slippery Rock, and Mark D. Oberlin of Ocean City, Md.; two grandchildren, Neil Oberlin and his wife, Amber, of San Antonio, Texas, and Gwen Burg of Twinsburg, Ohio; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, David Brown of Colorado, and Chuck Flannery of Las Vegas, Nev.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Flannery.

OBERLIN — Services for Mary L. Oberlin, who died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, will be held privately for the family.

Burial will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
