James “Jim” Elliott

James “Jim” Elliott

James “Jim” Elliott, 80, of Huron, Ohio, passed away on Sunday at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Jim was born on July 23, 1937, in Butler and was a son of the late Gilbert and Helen (Reott) Elliott.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Eileen (Siesel); three sons, Michael (Tammy), John (Christine), and Kevin (Cheryl) Elliott; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was fortunate to also have many, many friends.

He worked at Sandusky International for 44 years. Jim's family was his “life,” and his greatest joy was spending time with them.

He had a great sense of humor, which was often on display. He enjoyed traveling, mostly weekend trips with his wife, Eileen.

Jim was always involved with his sons, coaching Little League, attending their sporting events and providing guidance. He has supported them in all their endeavors throughout their lives. He loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren attending their various activities, which kept him young and active. Every new person he met would soon hear a story about one of his grandchildren.

Jim was always there for his family and he will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Firelands for their care and concern.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his brother, Jack; his sister, Martha; and his grandson, Jacob.
