Marilyn Kay Arblaster, 76, of Slippery Rock, passed away at her residence in Brady Township on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, following an extended illness.

She was born in Grove City, on March 4, 1945, to J. Burdette Hoffman and Martha Gurney Hoffman.

Marilyn graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1963.

She married Douglas R. Arblaster on Sept. 22, 1992.

She retired, having worked in dispatch and as secretary at Mercer Limestone Plant, located in Branchton, Pa.

Marilyn enjoyed camping with her family and casino trips with her sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Doug at home; her daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Ferringer of Slippery Rock; her son, Larry Sedwick of Cedar Lake, Ind.; her daughter, Regina (Jeff) Cornelius of Slippery Rock; her grandchildren, Steven, Ben and Elizabeth Sedwick of Indiana, Pa., Alyssa Kelly of Indiana, Pa., Thomas (Lauren) Holfman of New York, Hannah Holfman of Slippery Rock, and Lauren Cornelius of Slippery Rock; two great-grandchildren of Indiana, Pa.; and her sister, Joanne Bonetti of Slippery Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Betty Connelly and Ginny Lantz; and her brother Donny Hoffman.

ARBLASTER — The family of Marilyn Kay Arblaster, who died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME of Slippery Rock, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held at at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
