William Martin
William “Bill” Edward Martin, 85, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1937, in Uniontown, he was the son of the late William Henderson Martin and Helen Theresa Bush Martin.
Bill was a faithful member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.
He was employed as a welder at Pullman Standard, and after his retirement, served as a custodian at Connoquenessing Elementary School. He also coached the Butler High School girls basketball team.
Bill loved hunting and fishing, and had a considerable collection of music boxes.
He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 19 years, Lyudmyla Yarmatsevych Martin, whom he married on Nov. 9, 2002; his stepsons, Maksym (Yana) Yarmatsevych and Vladyslav Yarmatsevych, both of Butler; his grandchildren, Illia and Domenic; one nephew; and two nieces.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Martin; and two brothers.
MARTIN — Friends of William “Bill” Edward Martin, who died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of the blessing service at 11 a.m. Saturday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew, with the Rev. Dan Waruszewski officiating.
Bill will be laid to rest at Lafayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill.
