Harold L. Laderer
Harold L. Laderer, 93, of Portersville was taken home to be with his Master on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.
Harold was the son of Joy and Anna (Barkley) Laderer of Portersville.
He graduated from Portersville High School in 1945.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1946, and was honorably discharged as a Tech 4 sergeant in 1947, after serving 11 months in the Philippines.
Harold was employed by Ellwood City Forge Co. for 32 years, retiring as plant manager in 1984.
He married the former Doris Bupp in 1952.
Harold was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in New Castle, where he served on church council, sang in the choir and played in the chime choir.
He was a 36-year member of American Legion Post 0393 in Slippery Rock.
He is survived by his two daughters, Greta Nogee of Prospect, and Darla (Gene) Brown of Enon Valley; his daughter-in-law, Lynn Laderer of Slippery Rock; two granddaughters and four grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, and his son, Harold II of Slippery Rock.
