Overturned vehicle on I-79 causes backup
CRANBERRY TWP — Traffic on Interstate 79 north was backed up for miles Wednesday following an accident at mile 81.6. The accident was reported at 2:56 p.m. after a vehicle overturned in a grassy area on the right side of the road.
Crews from Cranberry Township fire and EMS responded, while fire police controlled traffic.
Traffic was reduced to one lane, which caused lengthy delays.
No additional information was available at the scene.
