JOHNSTOWN — Knoch graduate Chris Law, a sophomore, played first base for Seton Hill in the Griffins’ 5-1 win over Millersville in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference baseball championship game Sunday.

Law tripled and drew three walks in the victory. Seton Hill (31-20) won the PSAC tourney for the second straight year.

[naviga:h3]SV grad Hajduk shines for Behrend[/naviga:h3]

PITTSBURGH — Seneca Valley graduate Alex Hajduk, a pitcher for the Penn State Behrend baseball team, tossed a complete game in the Lions’ 9-4 AMCC Tournament victory over Penn State Altoona recently.

Hajduk won his eighth game of the season. He scattered 10 hits and struck out seven. PSU Behrend (25-17) ended its season with a 15-11 loss to Pitt Greensburg later in the day.

BEREA, Ohio — Grove City High School graduate and Westminster College senior Hailey Hall earned a season-best mark in the pole vault, going 12 feet, 4.5 inches for a second-place finish at the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet hosted Friday by Baldwin Wallace University.

Moniteau graduate Dalton Anderson placed fourth in the javelin,with a toss of 169 feet, 4 inches for the Titans.

[naviga:h3]Hershman, Pitt drop heartbreaking final[/naviga:h3]

ATLANTA — Mars graduate and University of Pittsburgh senior center fielder Erin Hershman helped the Panther softball team reach the finals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament over the weekend.

The Panthers (33-18-1), seeded No. 2, led Florida State 4-2 in the bottom of the final inning before surrendering a game-winning three-run homer.

[naviga:h3]Dietz goes 2 for 2 at Lernerville[/naviga:h3]

BUFFALO TWP — For the second time in as many Pro Stock features run at Lernerville Speedway so far this season, Tyler Dietz took the checkered flag Friday night.

Dietz beat out runner-up Noah Brunell for the win.

Visiting All-Star Cale Conley edged Sarver’s Carl Bowser in the Sprint feature, Rex King Jr. won the Modified feature and Jared Miley the Late Model feature.

There were 83 cars in the pits.
