Redevelopment Authority agrees to sell building

The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler voted Thursday to sell its building on East Cunningham Street.

The authority agreed to sell the three-story building as is to businessman Joe Gray for $110,000.

The building was initially listed with an asking price of $154,900 last fall.

Gray, owner of Arris Construction and J & J Properties, said Thursday that he had some ideas for the building, but does not have immediate plans.

One reason Gray pursued the building is because he owns the Cornerstone Commons, the building at the corner of Main Street and East Cunningham Street and adjacent to the Authority's building, he said. The two buildings are connected by a fire escape.
