Brandon Sheppard captured the checkered flag in Thursday’s 30-lap World of Outlaws Late Model feature at Lernerville Speedway.

The event kicked off three days of action-packed racing that will culminate in Saturday night’s Firecracker 100.

Chris Madden and Scott Bloomquist, who have a combined four Firecracker 100 victories between them, placed second and third, respectively.

Last year’s Firecracker champion, Cade Dillard, finished seventh.

Sarver’s Mike Norris was the top local finisher, placing eighth.

Another 30-lap feature will be held Friday.
