Robert B. Kline
Robert B. “Bob” Kline, 77, of Butler passed away at 9:20 a.m. Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Butler to the late Lloyd “Pete” Kline and Gladys (Reges) Kline.
Bob was a graduate of Butler High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, serving 1960 to 1966.
He worked at Armco Steel in 2-Aisle, retiring in May 1996. Bob was the co-owner of Kline Storage & Rentals.
He was a member of the Christ Community United Methodist Church. He played softball and loved hunting, fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Mr. Kline is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn Kline, who he married June 24, 1961; one son, Robert B. Kline and his wife, Channing, of Butler; four daughters, Sandra Markle and her husband, Jerry, of Butler, Sheryl Buffington and her husband, Dennis, of West Sunbury, Stacey Burk and her husband, Donn, of Butler and Susan Stutz and her husband, John, of Connoquenessing; 19 grandchildren, Candice, Jerrod, Chelsie, Jereme, Sara, Derek, Amber, Ashley, Tyler, Daniel, Andrew, Kylie, Keegan, John, Jacob, Joel, Jace, Jordan and Eva Sue; one great-grandson, Jamison; one sister, Shirley McCandless and her husband, Robert, of Renfrew; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Kline.
KLINE — Friends of Robert B. “Bob” Kline, who died Sunday, April 19, 2015, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the THOMPSON-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler, with the Rev. Bruce Gascoine officiating.
