Patricia M. Russell
Patricia M. Russell, 76, of Renfrew passed away Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born June 17, 1940, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Floyd E. and Catherine Hannigan Moersch.
She was a 1961 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, as well as hospitals in Phoenix and Tennessee. She retired in 2004 as a nurse for the Area Agency on Aging.
She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She went and administered to the homebound and was a member of the Christian Mothers. She volunteered at A Better Choice in Wichita, Kan., Hospice of the Visiting Nurses Association, and she was a CPR-certified instructor for the American Heart Association.
Surviving are two daughters, Dr. Maureen (Ryan Martin) Russell and Kelly Lynn Krenitsky, both of Butler; one son, Andrew D. (Laura) Russell of Butler; five grandchildren, Haley Krenitsky, David (Heather) Krenitsky, Brandon and Caitlyn Martin, and Kelsy Deal, all of Butler; two sisters, Mildred Jean Torchia of Maulden, S.C., and Joan L. Gore of Phoenix; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. (Pete) Russell, who passed away Aug. 7, 1994; one sister, Mary C. Breischke; and two brothers, Floyd and Robert Moersch.
RUSSELL — Friends of Patricia M. Russell, who died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev. James Murphy, pastor, officiating.
