Rita Marzullo-Wagner
Rita Geraldine Marzullo-Wagner, of Butler, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the age of 91, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Rita was born April 19, 1930, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Steighner.
Anyone who knew Rita knew she was always the life of the party and had a radiant personality that always left everyone laughing and smiling.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, attending local dances, watching her beloved “Golden Girls,” and telling jokes to anyone and everyone who would listen.
She is survived by her sister, Joan (Joe) Tomsey of Butler; her son, Frank (Catherine) Marzullo of Lovelady, Texas; her daughter, Cynthia Halin of Butler; her eight grandchildren, Bobbie Jo (Mike) Gibson, Chasity (Brad) Wilbert, Blaise (Shiffara) Steadman, Raymond (Kiley) Yaracs, Nathan (Tracy) Steadman, Cassandra (Josh) Seth, Nicholas (Shannon) Marzullo and Anthony Marzullo.
She also loved spending time with her 12 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her son, Walter Yaracs; two brothers, Regis and Howard Steighner; her sister, Ruth Fiala; an infant sister, Irene; her late husbands, Lloyd Wagner and James Marzullo; and her beloved friend, Joe Baker the Candlestick Maker.
MARZULLO-WAGNER — Friends of Rita Geraldine Marzullo-Wagner, who died Saturday, May 29, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church of Herman.
Her burial will be held privately.
