Donna Claypoole-Burgess, 76, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, after a courageous battle with health complications.

She was born in Butler on Oct. 18, 1945, the daughter of the late Fred and Violet (Whithroe) Reese.

Donna was a very active and devout Christian. She was known for her selfless and giving heart. Above all else, she devoted her life to her family and friends. She was loved and will be forever missed.

She was the beloved wife of James Burgess; mother of Gene (Marsha) Claypoole, Norma (Mark Owens) Reges, and Paul Claypoole; sister of Jerry Parker, Butch (Nellie) Reese, Roy Reese, David Reese, Peggy Parker, and Martha Cook.

She is also survived by four stepchildren, eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

CLAYPOOLE-BURGESS — Friends of Donna Claypoole-Burgess, who died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

Services will immediately follow in the funeral home.

Burial will be held privately.
