William Gantzer
William “Bill” Gantzer, 89, of Valencia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1932 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the son of Anthony and Blodwen (Parry) Gantzer.
Bill was a 1952 graduate of Crafton High School. He married Alice Schaldenbrand on Oct. 4, 1958, in Pittsburgh. They were married for 63 years and had three sons. Bill owned and operated Pittsburgh North Campground in Cranberry Township for 35 years.
Bill adored his wife, three sons, and their families. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, water skiing, snow skiing, traveling in the family camper and spending winters in Florida after his retirement. He loved working and kept himself constantly busy with projects even after retirement.
Bill is survived by his wife, Alice Gantzer (Schaldenbrand) of Valencia; three sons, David (wife Jean), Anthony (wife Shannon), and Gary (wife Ashley) Gantzer; and five grandchildren, Jeremiah (wife Lauren), Kelsey, Alyce, Rowan, and Hadley Gantzer. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Anne Noaker.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Blodwen Gantzer; and a brother, Robert Gantzer.
