The Musicians' Concert Band, a community group that performs at Slippery Rock University, will play in concert at 7:30 p.m. today

and Aug. 6 in Miller Auditorium on campus. The MCB Swing Band will join in tonight's show. Admission to each concert is $3. Jeff Kroner is the music director.

The Thursdays in the Park Concert Series at Cranberry Rotary Amphitheater in Community Park, Cranberry Township, begins at 7 p.m. Playing tonight will be Donna Bailey, jazz. On July 30 will be the East Winds Symphonic Band. Admission is free. Call 724-776-4806.

Free summer concerts on the lawn at the Harmony Inn, 230 Mercer St. in Harmony, will feature Car Cruise with sounds of the 1950s tonight. Call 724-452-5124.

Friday Lunchtime Concerts take place at noon Fridays in the Garden Gazebo at the Municipal Center in Cranberry Township. Admission is free. Playing Friday will be Randy Shoup, "The Singing DJ with Sinatra Songs." Call 724-776-4806.

The Summer Concert Series 2009 at Butler County Community College will conclude on Sunday with the Alumni Association Ice Cream Festival. At 6 p.m., guests can enjoy some ice cream for a donation of $3 followed by the swing, jazz and pop sounds of Butler's own Anthony James Band at 7 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Alumni Association Scholarship Program. A free Family Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, is taking place at Alameda Park. The shows begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Carousel Shelter. Performing this coming Tuesday will be Crosswynds, a three-piece band that plays old and new country, bluegrass and gospel. Admission is free. Call 724-284-5383.

Butler County Symphony's lunchtime Concerts to Munch By take place from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 19, all at the symphony office, 259 S. Main St. Scheduled to perform Wednesday are Gloria Caceres, cello; Christie Kecskemethy, violin, and Virginia Netchi, flute. Guests can take a bag lunch or buy one for $3 from City Subs. Watermelon Wednesdays at Slippery Rock Park conclude with a performance by bluegrass band Well Strung from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Music and watermelon are free. Call 724-794-8180.

<B>The 15th Annual Blues Festival</B> will take place at Hartwood Amphitheater on Middle Road in Hampton Township Friday through Sunday to benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Bands over the weekend include Los Lobos, Eric Lindell, Cyril Neville & Tribe 13, Shawn Kellerman, Curtis Salgado and the Robert Cray Band. Local bands, a KidZone with arts, crafts, healthy snacks and an interactive music tent, plus plenty of food will be featured. Admission on Friday is free with the donation of a bag of nonperishable groceries for the Food Bank. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $25 each day. Sixth St. The hour-long concerts are held rain or shine, but in case of the rain, they move indoors to the nearby skating rink. Butler County members are Jim Cunningham, Todd and Jana Karenbauer, Jeannette Schmidt, Todd Obidowski, Mark and Steve Rodgers and David Huemme.
