Alice in Wonderland will be presented by the National Players with a 21st-century treatment on Nov. 3 at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.
3 sets of performances at BC3 feature variety of entertainment

Butler County Community College will again have three mini-series of performances for the 2017-18 season, its 16th bringing entertainment to the Succop Theater.

Performing Artists

The Performing Artists Mini-Series brings a wide variety of groups to the Succop, including:

Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, the resident ballet company of the Succop Theater performing works by guest artist Meg Schriffen and select contemporary artists, 8 p.m. Sept. 23

National Players' “Alice in Wonderland,” a 21st-century staging, cameras and puppets telling the classic story of Alice's journey through Wonderland, 8 p.m. Nov. 3

Tamburitzans, the longest running multicultural song and dance company in the United States presenting “Passages” featuring the folk dances and live music of Eastern Europe, 8 p.m. Jan. 19, 2018

Aeolian Winds of Pittsburgh, a chamber quintet performing Mozart to Copland, 8 p.m. Feb. 17, 2018.

Pittsburgh Philharmonic

The Pittsburgh Philharmonic Mini-Series will feature:Autumn Leaves, with Rachel Smith performing the “Lalo Cello Concerto,” 2 p.m. Oct. 29Holiday Pops, holiday favorites and Mozart with clarinetist Alex Jones, 2 p.m. Dec. 3Back to School, with selection from Brahms and Dvorak plus the winner of the Young Artist concerto competition, 7:30 p.m. March 10, 2018Story Time, 7:30 p.m. featuring Rimsky Korsakov's “Scheherazade” plus the Young Composer Contest winner, May 12, 2018.Local ArtistsThe Local Artists Mini-Series will feature shows from four area musical groups:Northwest Passage Trumpet Trio, 2 p.m., Feb. 25, 2018Tornado Big Band, 2 p.m. March 11, 2018Robin Hasenpflug, 2 p.m. April 15, 2018Well Strung Bluegrass Band, 2 p.m. May 6, 2018.Tickets and more information are available at bc3.edu/succop-theater or by calling 724-284-8505. The Well Strung Bluegrass Band is scheduled to perform during the Local Artists Mini-Series at Butler County Community College.
