Edith L. Klingensmith
Edith L. Klingensmith, 91, of Cabot, formerly of Kaylor and Saxonburg, passed away Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Concordia Lutheran Home for the past 14 years.
Born on June 4, 1923, in Kaylor, she was the daughter of the late John and Gemma Weber Kerschbaumer.
She was a homemaker, a wonderful wife and a loving mother.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot and the Saxonburg American Legion Post 683 Auxiliary, where she was a Gold Star mother. She was also a Christian Mother at her church. Edith was an avid bowler and shopper.
Surviving are her son, Robert J. (Ruth) Klingensmith of Harrisville and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Klingensmith, who she married on Dec. 8, 1945, and who passed away on March 21, 1996; her son, Clyde Klingensmith; and her two brothers, Ludwick and John Kerschbaumer.
Klingensmith— The friends of Edith L. Klingensmith, who passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
