VIRGINIA BEACH — Knoch seniors Mike Formica and Josh Rohland competed at the Adidas Indoor National Track and Field Championships over the weekend, Formica taking home a medal.

Formica ran a leg of a WPIAL’s best 4x800 meter relay, which placed second in 7 minutes, 53.83 seconds. He joined Carson McCoy of Deer Lakes, Quinton Gatons of Greensburg Salem and Colby Bolczyk of Riverside on the relay.

Formica also took seventh in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:16.11, a personal best.

Rohland was 18th in the shot put at 51 feet, 2.75 inches. He was 13th in the weight throw at 50.125.
