The driver of a Pontiac sedan was taken to a New Castle hospital this afternoon with injuries after she was involved in a crash with a New Castle School of Trades tractor-trailer on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township, state police said.

The driver of the truck, who was a student, and a passenger, an instructor, were not injured.

Traffic is backed up but still moving in both directions near the Route 19 interchange while the Portersville Muddy Creek Fire Department cleans up fuel that leaked onto the road.

Police say the car was at fault in the accident.
