A UPMC Children’s Express Care location has opened at UPMC’s main hospital in the Lawrenceville neighborhood.

The Express Care location aims to provide families with greater access to convenient, same-day pediatric care for minor illnesses and injuries, according to UPMC.

It is located on the first floor near the hospital’s main lobby and features nine exam rooms and a waiting area designed with children and families in mind. The location also offers expanded hours to make care more accessible after school, in the evening and throughout the weekend.

Hours of operation are 1 to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
