As a woman in her mid-20s, what makes this time of year so frightening is not the ghouls and goblins…it’s the weddings.

Note this: I LOVE weddings. Everything from the pomp and circumstance to the cookie table makes me cry tears of joy and reminds me love is real. But from June to November, everyone in their 20s is attending a wedding every weekend. Statistically speaking, this is the “busy” season.

This gives way to stress. You must coordinate several outfits that weren’t seen at the celebrations you already attended. You shell out for a gift. And, you have to pay more to be IN a wedding than attend one, which can drive you into debt if you’re not careful. (Exhibit A: do you HAVE to have a three-day bachelorette weekend in Nashville? Will you wear that cowboy hat again?).

To top it off, the other stressful part about attending so many weddings is missing the fall festivities going on in Butler County. Which means I have to wait until next year when they pop up on my calendar once again.

Don’t miss out on all that’s going on this weekend. Attend as much as you can, if only in place of the 20-somethings that have to miss out due to obligation.

The Touch-A-Truck fundraiser at Butler Catholic School is a display of emergency and construction vehicles like no other! Visit the parking lot at 515 E.
