Some Pennsylvanians may be eligible for compensation if they purchased certain generic drug prescriptions over a 10-year period, according to Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut granted preliminary approval of a plan filed by 48 states and territories to distribute settlement funds of claims where companies illegally conspired to raise generic drug prices, Sunday announced Tuesday, Sept. 22.

“Pennsylvanians who purchased certain generic prescription drugs during a 10-year period beginning in 2009 may be entitled to compensation, so I encourage them to act fast,” he said. “The window to act is short, so consumers should check their eligibility and make sure they do not miss this opportunity.”

The 10-year period was from May 2009 to December 2019.
