Nancy Walters-Wolfe
Nancy Annette Walters-Wolfe, 91, of Zelienople, passed peacefully away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026.
Born April 11, 1935, in Massillon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James and Lois Norman.
Residing in Millersburg, Ohio, she worked in the family bakery and graduated from Millersburg High School. She went on to attend and graduate from Miami University. Along the way, meeting her first husband, John R. Walters Jr.
She became a teacher, and her first position was in Long Beach, Calif. Upon returning from California, they married and settled first in Pittsburgh, and soon after moved to Mars. Nancy became involved on the small farm, tending to her children, the myriads of animals and gardening. She became active in the Mars Area School District, and became very passionate about the Mars Public Library, where she served a time as its president. Always active in area churches, she had a giving and most gracious heart for all. She was an avid gardener and a wicked shark at card games, especially gin rummy and bridge.
She blessedly met her second husband, William “Bill” Wolfe, and they married, both for the second time, after each of their first spouses passed on. They enjoyed a fabulous life with many travels abroad and domestically. They enjoyed each other very much. She adored Bill, and it was very mutually returned. She became very active in Valencia United Presbyterian Church and was on many committees and served them with all her heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her two brothers, James and Josef Norman.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Bill; two children, Josh (Beth) Walters and Carrie (Bill) Palermo; granddaughter, Reilly (DJ) Dumond; and great-grandchildren, Lillian and Kaine Dumond. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Tina Pearson (who shares the same birthday of April 11, but 11 years apart); many other nieces, nephews and cousins whom all loved Aunt Nan; as well as so many friends who were always family to her.
