Lorraine Worsley
Lorraine Kathryn (Oesterling) Worsley, 92, of Butler, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at the Lowrie Place surrounded by family.
She was born Dec. 6, 1933, in Carbon Center, Butler, and was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene Oesterling and the late Mary Dorothy (Neigh) Oesterling.
She loved God, people and animals. She lived a very simple life and left with no regrets.
Lorraine graduated from Butler High School and was co-owner of the family business, Worsley’s. She was an avid bridge player and was a bridge Gold Life Master. Lorraine loved bowling, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was involved in multiple card clubs and bowling leagues. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
A line that Lorraine lived by was from one of her favorite poems “If Tomorrow Never Comes” by Norma Cornett Marek: “Take time to say ‘I’m sorry,’ ‘Please forgive me,’ ‘Thank you,’ or ‘It's OK.’ And if tomorrow never comes, You'll have no regrets about today.”
She is survived by her two daughters, Keri (Sean) Dolan, of Butler, and Cheryl (Jayme) Worsley-Simms, of Butler; five grandchildren, Brent Rothen, Joshua Dolan, Michael Simms, Ashton (Brandon) Doughty and Brandon Dolan; six great-grandchildren, Zion (Esther) Opperman, Zach Rothen, Anthony Buzzelli, Hampton Doughty, Sutter Dolan and Freya Dolan; sister-in-law, June Oesterling; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her beloved sister, Rosalee Ann Stepulla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Worsley, whom she married Oct. 6, 1956, and who passed away Oct. 23, 2010. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn, Gerald and Dale Oesterling; and one granddaughter, Cerise Rothen.
WORSLEY — A celebration of life for Lorraine Kathryn (Oesterling) Worsley, who died Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, will be held at a future date.
Arrangements were under the direction of THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
