First Commonwealth Insurance Agency, the subsidiary of First Commonwealth Financial Corporation, a regional financial holding company headquartered in Indiana County, has completed the acquisition of a Ligonier, Westmoreland County agency.

The company has acquired Pennsylvania Insurance Specialists, an agency operated by the mother-daughter team of Anne and Lexie Petrof, who have been in business since 1998.

The Petrofs joined the First Commonwealth Financial Corporation team, effective Sept. 1, with Anne staying on as a consumer insurance adviser. Lexie will serve as a consumer insurance account executive.

According to the company, joining First Commonwealth Insurance Agency will provide Pennsylvania Insurance Specialists customers access to additional products, solutions and services, along with competitive rates and coverage.
