New grief support group focuses on crochet
Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will host a free weekly adult grief support group from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays from Sept. 24 through Nov. 5 at Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler.
The “Is Grief Tying You in Knots?” Crochet Grief Support Group will be led by bereavement coordinator Christina Reuschlein.
“In a safe and welcoming space, participants will receive faith-filled encouragement and grief education while learning crochet as a coping skill. No crochet experience is necessary. The shawl each participant creates can serve as a reminder of their healing journey or as a gift of comfort for someone else,” an email from the hospice said.
Registration is required by Sept. 10. For more information or to sign up, call the bereavement team at 1-800-720-2557 or visit Good-SamaritanHospice.org.
