The Writers Conference of Northern Appalachia is hosting a day of workshops for writers at the Sawmill Center for the Arts, Cook Forest State Park on Sept. 26.

The conference takes place from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the park for a program that will feature workshops on how forests inspire, insights on the submission process and writing about your life story. The day will close with critique group sessions that will give attendees the chance to get input into their work. Any attendee can participate in a critique group with or without a submission. There will also be book giveaways.

The cost is $72 which includes a light lunch and breaks.
