Recent policies make America unrecognizable

Ankle bracelets on Haitian immigrants. The possibility of shock gloves for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Is this the America we know? We are subjugating immigrants and weaponizing undertrained agents.

These expenditures are cruel and ridiculous. When the Department Of Government Efficiency cleared out “waste, fraud and abuse,” they left governmental agencies with huge personnel gaps. (Not to mention the theft of our data). Our tax money is funding things that do not help or serve people. Our tax money should be feeding the hungry, helping people get medical care and providing funding for science research.

This current regime in Washington, D.C., is turning the U.S. into a world joke and jeopardizing the safety of all of us. I believe foodborne illnesses are becoming rampant and measles is raging. I don’t recognize this country at all.

Have you been to Washington, D.C., lately? The wasted money on gold plating the statues, the metaphor of the Reflecting Pool. There are so many examples of the blatant waste, fraud and abuse this regime is creating and perpetuating.

Voting has consequences. I don’t know what we did to deserve the consequences of our current leaders, but I am hoping that there is a blue wave in November to start the vast job of correcting the course of our country and grabbing democracy from the jaws of whatever this is.
