Independence Health System is expanding access to orthopedic and spine care across two of its hospitals.

According to the health system, it has added orthopedic surgeon Steven Hand to the medical staffs of Butler Memorial and Clarion hospitals.

Hand is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in spine and reconstructive joint surgery. He brings more than 20 years of medical experience, specializing in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles and connective tissues.

For Butler patients, Hand is now scheduling appointments at Independence Health System Orthopedics, 480 E. Jefferson St., Suite B.
