Frank Slater

Slater

Frank D. Slater, 68, of Harrisburg, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born in Butler on Aug. 28, 1957, the son of the late Francis and Barbara (Perry) Slater.

Frank had a lifelong love of cars and enjoyed attending car shows and working on vehicles, especially his Corvette. He also loved going to concerts, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the WNBA and listening to music — especially the Beatles. Known for his strong work ethic, Frank took great pride in everything he did and was a perfectionist at heart.

Another great love in Frank’s life was his English cocker spaniels. Colby, Jack and Cooper each held a special place in his heart, with Cooper remaining his faithful four-legged companion.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. (Larry) Slater; his five children, Erin Mulhollan, Timothy Slater, Christopher Mock (Donna), Danielle Bachorz (Brian) and Shannon Mock (Kristy); his four siblings, Lynn Davis, Karen Antoszyk, Lisa Martin and Charles Martin; his grandchildren, Clayton, Frankie, Layla, Everly, Kayla, Lee, Vanessa, Tristan, Jazmine, Hailee, Preslee, Rowan and Rosie; his first and only great-grandchild, Amelia Grace; and his beloved four-legged companion, Cooper.
