Butler Memorial and Clarion hospitals has just welcomed a new pulmonary and critical care specialist, according to Independence Health System.

Dr. Jacob DeBerry joins the medical staff at the two hospitals, who will see patients at the Butler Pulmonology office at 389 New Castle Road and Butler Memorial Hospital.

He will help provide diagnosis and treatment for a range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sleep apnea, lung cancer and other pulmonary/sleep disorders.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at the UPMC, where he also served as chief medical resident.
