Paul Leasure
Paul W. Leasure, 83, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026.
Born Oct. 6, 1942, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Grace N. (Parish) and Paul W. Leasure Sr.
Paul was a 1960 graduate of Butler High School, where he played on the baseball team. He furthered his education at Robert Morris University before transferring to and graduating from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in education. Paul worked as a claims adjuster and a fraud investigator for State Farm Insurance, retiring after a lengthy and successful career.
Having taken up the sport at the age of 12, Paul had been an avid golfer for the majority of his life, organizing many golf leagues throughout the years. As an active adult, he was also a player, coach and organizer of several softball leagues. He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge 170, the Joseph T. Black VFW Post 249, the American Legion Post 117 and the Italian Club, in Butler.
Paul is survived by two children, Kimberly S. Leasure and Bradley P. Leasure; three grandchildren, Carter P. Spencer, Chandler E. Spencer and Josie B. Leasure; three sisters, Kathy, wife of David Haunty, Joanne, wife of John Sullivan, and Sandy Burke; many loving nieces and nephews; and countless lifelong friends and everyday lunch pals.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Leasure and Gary Leasure.
LEASURE — A private celebration of life for Paul W. Leasure, who died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3.
