Overly

Kenneth S. Overly, 65, of Harrisville, passed away the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, at the Sergeant Joseph George Kusick Community Living Veteran Center, in Butler, after an illness.

He was born Nov. 19, 1960, in Butler, the son of the late Lloyd Jr. and Grace (Krepps) Overly.

He graduated from Moniteau High School and enlisted into the U.S. Army, serving in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He served on tours in Germany and Iraq and proudly received the Bronze Medal.

He was a member of the Grove City Mason Lodge No. 603 and recently retired from his 34-year career with Grove Manor as the director of environmental services.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lorraine A. (VanDyke) Overly, whom he married Nov. 16, 1985; his children, Matthew Lominski, of Harrisville, Eli Overly, of Harrisville, Robert Overly, of Prospect, and Jazmine Overly, of Butler; eight grandchildren; and his siblings, Garry (Sue) Overly, of West Sunbury, Linda Plunkard, of Prospect, and Dan (Kim) Overly, of Karns City.

OVERLY — Family and friends of Kenneth S. Overly, who died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, will be received for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Military honors will be accorded at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home by members of the Butler VFW 249, Evans City VFW 499 and Lyndora American Legion 778.

Interment will be private.
