2 men accused of stealing more than $4K in power tools from Cranberry Township Home Depot
Two men are accused of stealing more than $4,000 in power tools from a Cranberry Township business.
Brian Ayersman, 39, of Ellwood City, and Daniel Thomas Houston, 62, were charged Tuesday, Aug. 4, by Cranberry Township police with one felony count each of retail theft and receiving stolen property and two felony counts of conspiracy following the reported theft Saturday.
Police said they responded Sunday to The Home Depot for reports of theft the previous day. Police said video showed Ayersman and Houston load $4,486.98 in power tools into a cart before both men left the store.
Police said the two men have committed several identical thefts at The Home Depot locations in recent days with some thefts exceeding $7,000.
Preliminary hearings for the two men have not yet been scheduled.
