Slippery Rock football 2026: Schedule, PSAC opponents, season opener, ticket information
Slippery Rock University football is hoping to rebound.
Coming off a 6-4 season, but with a quarterback entering his second season — and still just a redshirt sophomore — and a huge recruiting class, The Rock have reasons for hope.
But SRU, which opens the season with an unusual Thursday night clash against Minnesota-Duluth, will spend much of the early part of the season on the road before basically parking it at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium in the second half.
Slippery Rock is also hoping to improve on a 3-3 PSAC record last year. It begins conference play Sept. 27 at home against preseason No. 8 California (Pa.).
Unlike last year, when it was coming off an NCAA Division II semifinal appearance, SRU is not ranked this preseason.

Season tickets can be purchased starting at $50 for all Rock home games. Children and SRU faculty get discounts.
Single game tickets can be purchased starting at $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 and older. SRU students also get a discount.
Fans can also reserve parking for the season for $100 for cars and $400 for large vehicles like motorhomes, or single-game parking passes start at $15.
