Frederick Evarts
Frederick C. “Fred” Evarts, 88, of Allison Park, passed away Sunday afternoon, Aug. 2, 2026, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital.
Born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on July 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Howard L. and Zelma Craig Evarts.
He had served in the U.S. Air Force during peacetime.
Fred was a draftsman for Peoples Natural Gas in Pittsburgh and was a member of Hiland Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his daughter, Polly Stehle (Ralph C.), of McCandless Township; a son, Roger C. Evarts, of Allison Park; his grandchildren, Ralph A. Stehle (Alexandria) and Robert T. Stehle (Anastasia); and his great-grandchildren, Sophia, Ralph J., Thomas and Theodore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Werling Evarts, whom he married Jan. 12, 1957, and who died July 4, 2015.
EVARTS — Friends of Frederick C. “Fred” Evarts, who died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Marshall Township.
