Beggs

Nancy J. Beggs, 73, of Clay Township, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, after a long illness.

Nancy was born Dec. 20, 1952, in Slippery Rock, and was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Betty J. (Osborne) Elder.

Nancy graduated from Slippery Rock High School class of 1972 and worked throughout her life at various places in Butler including Sears, Giant Eagle, Goodwill and Walmart.

On June 19, 1976, Nancy married Chuck Beggs. Together they shared 50 years of marriage and their family: two sons, Shawn (Cheryl) Beggs and Adam Beggs, both of Butler; three grandchildren, Kiley Miller, Alexander Beggs and Monroe Beggs; and numerous great-grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn Wilson, of Greensburg, and Julie (Dave) Perrine, of Blacktown; one brother, Thomas (Michelle) Elder, of Slippery Rock; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

BEGGS — Family and friends of Nancy J. Beggs, who died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, will be received for visitation from 10 to noon Thursday Aug. 6, at the WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held at noon led by her granddaughter, Kiley.

Burial will follow at West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
